Guwahati Landslide Tragedy: Body of 35-Year-Old woman recovered after hours of search

Guwahati: After several hours of search operation, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and city police personnel successfully recovered the body of a 35-year-old woman, who was buried under debris following the landslide in the Rupnagar area.Rini Deka Das was buried under landslide debris early on Monday. Moononjan Ramchiary, the response team commander of the Fire and Emergency Services, said her body was recovered at 10 pm.“The incident took place at Paharo Boro Path. The victim’s body was found buried nearly four feet under the debris, which made the rescue operation difficult,” he added.
